Orientation Week
Start your CMUQ journey the right way!
As a first-year student, you will kick off your Carnegie Mellon experience with the New Student Orientation program. It’s designed for you to meet-new-friends, make-some-memories and soak-up-the-CMUQ culture. Orientation week is planned and developed by a group of student leaders known as Head Orientation Counselors, so you can look forward to a fun and helpful introduction to university life, your faculty and staff resources and a smooth transition into university life.
CMUQ’s Orientation week will be held the week before classes: Aug 17 – 20, 2026.
In addition, Qatar Foundation will host the Marhaba orientation program to introduce you to the larger Education City campus on Aug 16, 2026.
